Best Places to Take Photos in Irving Texas

6:59 AM

Nested in the heart of the DFW Metro-plex is the beautiful, centralized city of Irving, Texas. So much has changed since the Dallas Cowboys moved the Stadium to Arlington, Texas. I've been fortunate to call this city home since becoming a transplant in 2008. Currently I live, work and play here. We call Greater Irving-Las Colinas the "Head Quarters" of headquarters because it houses over 5+ Fortune 500 Companies. With the amount of tourist, families, and corporate businesses, this area is booming at a rate that is increasingly visible to out of towners.   I wrote an Instagram post yesterday, talking about how many great things there are to explore since it's economic development evolution.  Aside from the working, living & entertainment, Irving has some really bomb gems to say the least of places to take photos. I'm always in the area framing ideal places to get a unique photo op for my content, I wanted to share a few places I've actually discovered and why you should try them. Let's dive right into some of those places shall we?..

1. The Irving Convention Center

First place on my list of places to take photos is the unusual looking building you see coming into Las Colinas. The Irving Convention Center building structure is definitely a conversation starter. My stylist friend wanted to find a place to shoot for her style project. I immediately thought of the stairs at the Convention Center. I saw a few other great photo ops. but I think taking High Fashion photos or formal pictures would be ideal here.

2. Toyota Music Factory

The New Toyota Music Factory in Las Colinas has about 12 restaurant concepts and a bomb parking garage with a rooftop view. Below are a few locations I've captured since the opening.

This shot was taken right above the TCBY stairwell. This spot over looks the lawn at the Pavilion.

This photo (below) was inside TCBY! I could not perfect the perfect place to capture the beauty of this posh little spot. I'd love to see yours if you decide to try it!

Thirsty Lion is my favorite lunch spot, well okay top favorite restaurants in the complex. The red doors served as inspiration for capture my thrifted trench! The patio has potential, as well as the little walk way between the restaurant and Bar Louie.

3. Gables Water Street Property

Now, I have not been able to capture the beauty of the new Gables Property Park and shopping center area near Hugos Invitados  which is actually my favorite (no judging me, you see the trend here.. I love food whet?)  Anyway, I hosted a small Sunday Brunch for my Birthday in February here. Needless to say the place is a cute, chic, eco-aesthetic place to eat Mexican inspired all natural nutritious ingredients dishes.

4. Mandalay Canal

The Mandalay Canal has been my crown jewel of a place for my creative outfit content, since coming across it earlier this year. I love the Victorian, almost Parisian aesthetic. With so many different places to capture your ideal photo within this area, you are bound to find one spot you'll love! Most people visit this place for weddings, engagement, and Quinceañera.  As a blogger, you can get creative with your content concept utilizes every inch of space this place has.

The last few photos here are taken near the downstairs Canal area across from the Omni Hotel Las Colinas.

Now you go out there and create some magic with these new or maybe not so new places to take photos! I'm glad you stopped by to check them out.

Listen, there are so many other cool spots to explore in Irving. Let me know if you come across any additional places you've been awed by! I'd love to know about them below!
